Codoxo names Rena Bielinski as Vice President of Customer Success and Scott Byerley as Vice President of Sales
Company expands footprint among health plans and agencies with new leadership
ATLANTA (January 14, 2021) – Codoxo, a trusted artificial intelligence-driven fraud, waste and abuse detection and investigation partner for health plans, today announced two key additions to its leadership team: Rena Bielinski, Vice President of Customer Success and Scott Byerley, Vice President of Sales. These strategic appointments come on the heels of a landmark year of growth and investment for Codoxo, which secured a $7 million Series A funding round in July, expanded its AI-powered suite of technology solutions to identify problems and control costs for healthcare companies and agencies, and unveiled a new corporate name – Codoxo, formerly FraudScope.

As the Vice President of Customer Success at Codoxo, Rena Bielinski is responsible for customer onboarding, satisfaction and success. Rena’s experience in the industry will bring sharing of best practices with clients and positioning them for strategic growth in their overall fraud, waste and abuse endeavors. She has a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy in Chicago (UIC), and she is also an Accredited Healthcare Fraud Investigator (AHFI). Prior to Codoxo, she spent 15 years at SCIO Health Analytics, an EXL Company, where she was the Chief Pharmacy Officer, with responsibility for building several clinical cost containment programs. She also developed the Retail Pharmacy FWA program which included pharmacy fraud investigations and compliance audits. She also served as a Vice President of Strategic Accounts at EXL, managing multiple payer and PBM clients. Dr. Bielinski is also an industry thought leader, with multiple publications and speaking engagements. Prior to SCIO, she spent many years as the Chief Operating Officer for a regional home infusion, home health, and DME company.
Scott brings 20 years of experience in cost containment to Codoxo. As Vice President of Sales, Scott is responsible for growing Codoxo’s relationships with health insurer and provider customers. Scott served as VP of Sales at Equian (now a division of Optum), and most recently, as Vice President of Sales for The Phia Group. Prior to sales, Scott earned his law degree from The University of Louisville, Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, and started his career as an attorney and Director of Litigation for Gibson and Sharps. At the request of the CEO he transitioned to sales and grew his career from there. With his background, Scott is well versed in applicable laws and regulations that govern the healthcare industry, including but not limited to ERISA, FEHBA, Medicare, and Medicaid, and he has deep knowledge of the cost containment industry. Scott has spent many years working closely with large health plans across the country, where he developed a unique understanding of the impact that fraud, waste, and abuse has on the payer industry and in the overall U.S. healthcare system. Scott has published several articles on various cost containment related topics, both with NASP (the “National Association of Subrogation Professionals”) and other industry publications.
